چکیده
Spatially homogeneous random walks in (Z+) 2 with non-zero jump probabilities at distance at most 1, with non-zero drift in the interior of the quadrant and absorbed when reaching the axes are studied. Absorption probabilities generating functions are obtained and the asymptotic of absorption probabilities along the axes is made explicit. The asymptotic of the Green functions is computed along all different infinite paths of states, in particular along those approaching the axes.

متن کاملRandom Walks in the Quarter Plane Absorbed at the Boundary : Exact and Asymptotic
Nearest neighbor random walks in the quarter plane that are absorbed when reaching the boundary are studied. The cases of positive and zero drift are considered. Absorption probabilities at a given time and at a given site are made explicit. The following asymptotics for these random walks starting from a given point (n0, m0) are computed : that of probabilities of being absorbed at a given sit...
متن کاملRandom walk in random environment with asymptotically zero perturbation
We give criteria for ergodicity, transience and null-recurrence for the random walk in random environment on Z = {0, 1, 2, . . .}, with reflection at the origin, where the random environment is subject to a vanishing perturbation. Our results complement existing criteria for random walks in random environments and for Markov chains with asymptotically zero drift, and are significantly different...
متن کاملInvariance Principle and recurrence for random walks in random environments with zero local drift
We prove the quenched Invariance Principle for random walks in random environments on Zd with zero local drift, subject to a transitivity hypothesis which is much weaker than the customary uniform ellipticity. We then obtain recurrence for d ≤ 2. The proofs are based on a representation of the system as an “uncountable union” of one-dimensional Markov maps, and on a powerful theorem by Schmidt ...
متن کاملLarge deviations and slowdown asymptotics for one - dimensional excited random walks ∗
We study the large deviations of excited random walks on Z. We prove a large deviation principle for both the hitting times and the position of the random walk and give a qualitative description of the respective rate functions. When the excited random walk is transient with positive speed v0, then the large deviation rate function for the position of the excited random walk is zero on the inte...
